We’ve been providing fireplace restoration services in Akron for over 20 years.
Blasting
Blasting is the best way to remove all layers of existing paint from the fireplace completely. The fireplace or radiator is peeled back into the bare cast iron, the first stage of restoration and the starting point for a new finish.
High-Temperature Black Paint
The sanded fireplace is fitted with 6 thin layers of high-temperature matte black paint, providing a complete coating while maintaining the full description and detail of the restored fireplace. The paint is heat resistant to up to 600 degrees Celsius.
Traditional Grill Polish
Traditional fireplace overlay. Initially, lead blackout paint was used, nowadays it is a safe alternative. A heat-resistant black lining is applied before the grill polish. After application, it is left to dry and polished with a special brushing pad to give the restored fireplace a unique traditional glow.
Glowing
After applying our high-temperature black paint, we polish the details of the recycled fireplace to a high glow. This coating is a mixture of both the back and the polish. We can recommend which parts will complete the balance of both terminations, but you can specify as little or as you want.
Polished Coating
After applying a few thin layers of our high-temperature paint, we polish the recycled fireplace to a high polished polish, leaving only the detail indentations black, protected by wd40 and fine wire wool. The original antique fireplaces give a striking look.
